About the buildings:
The summer of 2021 marks the start of the first stage of the rebuilding of Klokkergården. The goal of the redevelopment is to utilize the areas so that all units eventually have their own bathroom and kitchen
Klokkergården student accommodation won an environmental award in 1992 when the first part of the apartment complex was completed. The complex is designed with numerous small houses surrounding a farm-like courtyard.
Klokkergården was extended in 2006 with five new buildings with modern apartments for couples, units with shared bathroom and kitchen as well as single units with private bathrooms. Three more buildings were added in the autumn of 2008: two of them with family apartments and one single unit building.
- +Common rooms
In Klokkergården, there is a squash court, table tennis, a pool table and a small exercise room with a limited choice of equipment. The squash court is free to use for all residents. You can hire rackets from the resident assistants. The students have to book slots to use the court, using the lists in the court. If the lists are missing, you can contact the housekeeper. To protect the court floor, please use shoes without black soles. The small exercise room is located in the basement of the "Vaskekjelleren" building. The table tennis and pool table is located in the basement of the building named "Stallen".
- +Electricity and energy
All single units at Klokkergården have electricity included in the rent. Some of the couple and family apartments receive a fixed supplement to the rent for electricity. This means that you get predictable living expenses and do not have to deal with a subscription for electricity and an electricity bill.
The buildings that were built after 2006 are connected to local heating systems that contribute to heating of radiators and hot water. The rest of the buildings have electricity as an energy source.
- +Engine heater
Contact us if you want to rent an engine heater. We will put up a sign with your car registration number in a parking space close to one of the engine electricity outlets. This parking space is reserved for you for the winter. You will receive a key to the electricity outlet. It costs NOK 600 per season to rent this.
Outlets for engine heaters are available at Kårstua/Skomakeren and behind Stabburet.
Click the buildings and units for an overview of furnishings/equipment. You will have to bring your own duvet, pillow, bedding, kitchen utensils, cleaning equipment and a vacuum cleaner. You are not allowed to remove furniture from the unit, but you are allowed to bring additional furniture if there is space.
- +Fire safety
A 10-minute walk to the beach and to Borre National Park, as well as walking distance to campus Vestfold (2 km).
- +Outdoor area
Klokkergården is located in beautiful green areas with barbeque sites.
There is free parking with the possibility of renting engine heaters. There is a separate, lockable stall for bicycles.
- +Shared laundry room
Laundries with washing machines and tumble driers are located in the buildings named "Vaskekjelleren" and "Vaskeriet".
New solution - appWash
With the new soultion everything is done with an app on your phone (you can also use a web site). If you previoulsy used a washing card you will no longer need this.

It is currently not possible to reserve machines with this solution., but you can use the app to see if there are any machines available. You will also receive a notification from your app when your laundry is finished.

- +Waste disposal
There are underground waste igloos behind “Vaskekjelleren” and “Myra”. Remember to recycle!
