Now you can easily lock yourself in at your student housing using "My key card" in the app Student Sørøst or via My page on mobile/desktop.
Many of SSN's student housing units now have key cards in both physical and digital form. You can find the digital unlocking on My page under My key card, and you can also find it in the Student Sørøst app under the Student housing service.
Your digital key card gives you the opportunity to unlock all the doors you have access to through your lease with SSN. It is also this feature you can use to lock in guests. The door will open automatically when you press the correct door on My key card.
My key card is available for most of SSN's student housing - except Notodden, Rauland, Porsgrunn, Breisås and Grivi in Bø, Klokkergården and Åsgårdstrand in Vestfold.
NOTE! We recommend that you always bring a key card when you leave your unit.
Opening from the web will not work if the internet on the building is gone or if My page has downtime.
If you lock yourself out, and have a key card for your student housing, you can easily lock yourself in via My key card on My Page or in the app. There you have the opportunity to open all the doors you have access to.
(Opening from the web will not work if the internet on the building is down, so we do not recommend using the mobile as a permanent "key").
If you do not have a key card, you can contact your local SSN service office during opening hours.
Alternatively you can contact the welfare host at your student housing between 3pm and 10pm. The service is post-invoiced. The current price can be found in the price list (under "Lock-in daytime janitor/ resident assistant").
Contact information for your welfare host can be found on My page or in the Student Sørøst app under the student housing service and My tenancy.
If you have lost your key/locked yourself out outside of opening hours (or at weekends) and the resident assistant is not available, the security company can be contacted on +47 33 30 75 44. This service has a fee and will be invoiced (check the pricelist for current price).
The security company serves all campuses, except Rauland.
If you have lost your key or key card, you can contact your nearest SSN office to buy a new one. See price list.
If you have a key card, you can easily lock yourself in via My key card on My Page. There you have the opportunity to open all doors you have access to. You can find the same service in the Student Sørøst app under the student housing service. Remember that you must register as a user in the app with the same email address as on My page to access your tenancy in the app!
At several of our housings you can use your mobile phone to unlock.
You can also get help with unlocking around the clock. Read the FAQ "What do I do if I have locked myself out of my student housing?"
Yes. Always take your key card with you when you leave your room! This is due to technical errors that can occur so that you cannot open the door via browser or app. Better to be safe than sorry :)
If you arrive at your new student housing when our service office is closed, you can lock yourself in via My page and My key card.
My key card is activated on My page from 1 pm on the day your contract starts.
