Returning the key - when and where?

All keys and key cards must be delivered by 10 am on the last day of the contract. You can either deliver the key in the service office or in one of our dropboxes.

When do I return the key?

The deadline for returning your key is at 10 am on the last day of your contract. The accommodation must be ready for handover (emptied, cleared and cleaned).

We remind you that you are obliged to pay rent until your lease runs out, even if you have moved out earlier (pursuant to section 5.4 in the tenancy agreement).

Opening hours and location at SSN´s service offices

Find the opening hours and location of your local service office here. We have staffed service offices on all campuses except Rauland.

Where to return my keys?

  • Key / key card is delivered to your local service office within our opening hours.

  • If your last contract day is on a weekend, on a public holiday, holiday or you are not able to return the key within the opening hours of the service office, you can use one of our dropboxes.

Fee for missing key

  • If the key card has not been handed in by 10 am on the last day of the contract, a fee will be issued in accordance with the current price list.


  • If the key has not been handed in by 10 am on the last day of the contract, the cylinder must be replaced and the tenant will be invoiced for cylinder replacement, as well as a fee for loss of key.
