Any questions?

Apply as early as possible!

There is no deadline for applying, but we recommend that you apply for accommodation as soon you have applied for admission at an educational institution associated with SSN: the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), the Norwegian Police University College in Stavern, Fagskolen in Viken (Kongsberg), Fagskolen in Vestfold and Telemark or Folkeuniversitetet avd. Sandefjord. This is in order to enter the waiting list as early as possible.

This is how you apply for student housing.

Applications are processed continuously

Applications sent during term will be processed as they come in, and accommodation units that have been vacated will be offered to others as soon as they are ready.

In August, we normally do not have any vacant units, but throughout the months of June and July, many residents move out. If you apply for housing and enter a date for moving in during one of these months, you are more likely to receive your preferred unit.

If you are already a resident with us and want to change housing units, you are on the top of our priority list throughout the year except term start (January and August).

Everything about the housing application here.

You fill out the application form after logging in or registering at My page.

Our rental contracts are valid for one year at a time, from 1st August to 31st July. Approximately three months before your contract expires, we will send you a new one (around April/May). If you wish to continue living in your student housing unit, you must sign the new contract on My Page within three days of receiving the offer.

Here's how you sign the new contract.

NB! Please read through your new contract carefully before signing, as there may be important changes you need to know about, such as the price.

If you have not received an offer for a new contract, it may be because you no longer meet the allocation criteria.

Learn more about the reasons why you have not been offered a new contract.

You book the first appointment yourself in our online booking system.

NB. You need a D-number for online booking! Don't have a D-number? Call our Healthline at +47 31 00 84 44 to get help with booking.

Lånekassen only grants support for one academic year at a time. You must therefore apply to Lånekassen for study support every year. If something happens during your studies, such as you leave before the exam or you want to change your education, you must notify Lånekassen.

The deadline for applying for loans and grants is November 15 for the fall semester and March 15 for the spring semester.
