At Sætre, you live close to the campus (five minutes' walk) in cozy dormitories in a small "student housing village". Many have their own bathroom, four and four share a kitchen.

About the buildings:
Sætre student accommodation was built in 1993 and later fully renovated in the spring of 2018.
In the spring of 2018, all interior walls were painted in light colours, and the flooring and some windows were replaced. On the first floor, all four single units have a private, newly refurbished bathroom. On the ground floor, two residents share a bathroom, which has been rehabilitated. The kitchens on both floors were renovated, the curtains were changed and most of the furniture in the single units and kitchens was upgraded.
Each resident now has their own fridge with a small freezer. The kitchens on both floors have a dishwasher.
The buildings contain:
- 60 single units in seven houses, some with private bathroom and shared kitchen (for four residents), others with shared bathroom (two residents share) and kitchen (for four residents).
- Eight single units in each house (24G has 12 single units).
- The units on the first floor are 15.3 m2 including private bathroom. The units on the ground floor are 12.1 m2. There is also a common room.
- Four students share a kitchen on each floor.
Live with your friends at Sætre:
At Sætre you can move into a collective with your friends (NB: everyone must be students)!
- All friends must each submit their own housing application on My page.
- Write in the free text field who you want to live with.
- If you want to move into a group of friends, you should submit your housing application no later than May / June. Read more about the application here.

The student accommodation is about a five-minute walk from campus. Read more about campus Notodden with USN.
Shared mailbox-rack with one shared mailbox for each house.
The student accommodation is located in beautiful surroundings. Feel free to use any outdoor furniture.
Parking is free of charge and available nearby the student accommodation. There is bicycle parking outside the building. Remember private bicycle lock to avoid theft of your bike!
There are washing machines and tumble driers in each house.
One storage room outside and one storage in the loft in all houses.
There are hourly bus services to the area. You can travel to Notodden with Vy (train).
The waste station is located next to the parking lot. Remember to recycle!
Electricity
The property has electricity as an energy source. Electricity is included in the rent.
Think of the environment - help us saving energy!
☀️ There is no cooling installed on the property and in the summer months it can get hot inside if it is hot outside.
