Grilled melon is super good! Use this recipe as a standalone dish on the buffet table or as an accompaniment to other barbecue foods.
Watermelon, honeydew melon or piel de sapo
Olive oil or neutral oil
Crushed black pepper
Pumpkin or sunflower seeds, Norwegian cured ham, mozzarella, burrata, cottage cheese, ricotta or grilled halloumi cheese.
Greens: Basil, parsley, arugula/rocket salad, spinach leaves.
Cut melon into slices, solid melons are cleaned of core.
Brush or rub the discs in with oil.
Grill on a hot grill until the slices have received golden stripes from the grate.
Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Top with desired topping.
