Dance as a driving force: A project for life and learning

Welcome to an exciting project that challenges the conventional study environment at the University of Southeastern Norway (USN)! I, Tommy, have had the pleasure of being the Learning Environment Manager at USN, and now I am facing a new journey as part of the Student Society in Grenland (SIG), where my focus is to work more actively with student welfare and well-being. Through this transition, I bring with me a deep understanding of student needs and a passion for creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

Our vision is to motivate and inspire students to take the step onto the dance floor, not only to enjoy the moment, but also to enhance their own academic journey. The main focus of our project is on salsa, swing and tango - three dynamic dance forms that not only enrich the body and mind, but also cultivate a deeper understanding of collaboration, communication and creativity. In a busy academic life, it's important to find balance, and dance offers a healthy and rewarding outlet.

Whether you're an experienced dancer or have never stepped on the dance floor before, there's always room for you in our dance family. We encourage you to take a chance, let go of your inhibitions and get carried away by the rhythm.
