One of Norway's leading bird experts, Martin Eggen, is coming to Bø.
Martin Eggen from Lofoten is a conservation advisor at BirdLife Norway and has 11 years of experience in the organization. He has closely followed birdlife and landscapes since he was 13 and has lived in many places across the country. He has spent a lot of time at bird stations and in the best birdwatching spots in Norway. He has been active in the environmental movement for a long time and has been involved in governing bodies both in the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature and Future in Our Hands. Martin Eggen is also an author and has published two professional books: Without Birds, Life Isn't the Same (2023) and Our Birds – in Nest Boxes and at Feeding Stations (2025). In addition, he is co-author of two children's books: The Bird Book – Discovering Birds Where You Live (2024) and The Secrets of Birds (2026). Martin Eggen also has a regular bird column in the monthly magazine Aftenposten Insight.
