Solplomme at Lifjell kunstsenter

Anna Kleiva and Vilde Tuv blend nature poetry with electronics in the work "Solplomme."
Solplomme is inspired by nature, the people, climate, and the atmosphere in Romedalen in Ørsta, where the work was first performed. The piece is composed of recordings of sounds and stories from the area, delivered through electronics, flutes, and vocals, performed in dialogue with the poems. Using the myths and traditions of midsummer as a starting point, they explore the willingness to change in nature and in humans. When the sun turns, everything is wide open.

On Friday, May 23 at 20:00, Solplomme will come to Lifjell Art Center. Since 2023, Lifjell Art Center has been an art-driven house for visual arts, literature, crafts, performing arts, dance, and video. The art center is located in the premises of the old Lifjell Hotel and has studios and workspaces for artists, in addition to being a gallery and event space. The artists at Lifjell are focused on creating an open and contrasting artistic environment. Here you will find both silversmiths, classical painters, harding fiddle makers, and contemporary art.
