"Riksteatret: Ord for blod" at Ælvespeilet

If it's not safe at home, or out there – where do you go?

"Words for Blood" is a true story, an insider’s account from the younger sister of one of Sweden’s most dangerous gang leaders. It's a raw and honest portrayal of being a human – and a young woman – caught in the middle of a deadly gang conflict, in a world where adults are nowhere to be found.

Faysa’s closest friends and family members are on opposing sides of the gang war. She has lost count of how many she’s lost. Now, she’s telling her story.

Riksteatret and Det Norske Teatret are adapting Faysa Idle’s urgent and powerful book “A Word for Blood” for the stage. Her story concerns us all – no matter who we are or where we live. Perhaps it can open up conversations about how we build a society where we care more for each other?
