A recently divorced man starts digging in his garden – and finds a staircase. To hell.
During his child-free weeks, he has plenty of time. One day, he decides to tackle the patchy garden with the old, slightly rusty spade from the shed. He barely starts digging before he hits a hatch – leading straight to hell.
Hell, written by Erlend Loe and published in 2019, was warmly received by Norwegian readers. Now, this darkly absurd story has been adapted for the stage.
