Helvete was published in 2019 by Erlend Loe and the book was immediately well received by the Norwegian public. Now, for the first time, it will be turned into a theatre production. ‘This will be an extraordinary world premiere. Newly qualified actor Mathias Hansen returns after three years at the theatre academy in Verdal to stage Erlend Loe's ‘Helvete’. He is joined by newly qualified Lone Grønner Flikke as director and Elan Geelmuyden as playwright. It all began as a fifteen-minute monologue performance in the winter of 2024, but after receiving a lot of positive feedback, it was decided to invest in a larger stage and a full version of the book.
