We are celebrating Mushroom Day with mushroom checks, an exhibition, talks, and cooking.
Join us for a mushroom check and exhibition from 1:00 PM at Bø Book and Paper – the village's literature house. We’ll check your mushroom basket, cook mushrooms, and offer tastings – here you’ll find mushrooms in many ways.
At 2:00 PM, there will be a talk by Pål Karlsen, general manager of the Norwegian Mushroom and Useful Plants Association and author of books on foraging, mushrooms, and useful plants.
Bø Library also celebrates Mushroom Day. They have an exhibition of mushroom books from Tuesday, September 1, and throughout the week after Mushroom Day.
Mushroom checks are free and open to everyone.
The talk is free for our members; others pay NOK 200. Members of the literature house pay NOK 100.
