🎬 Bø Film Club: Inception (2010) 🎬
It’s student orientation week, and there’s a lot going on in Bø and at Kroa. That means that, once again this year, we want to offer a laid-back way to wrap up the week. On the final day of orientation week, we’re showing Christopher Nolan’s Inception from 2010, a film we dare say has become a modern classic. With grandiose music by Hans Zimmer and excellent performances from, among others, DiCaprio, Page, and Gordon-Levitt.
Plot:
Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio), a skilled thief who commits corporate espionage by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets, is offered a chance to regain his old life as payment for a task considered impossible: “inception” — the implantation of another person’s idea into a target’s subconscious.
Whether you’re just a little bit or very much into film, Inception has something for most people. Maybe you saw The Odyssey this summer and are in the mood for more Nolan — in that case, this is a great window into his filmmaking. And if you’ve seen it before, Nolan’s films are made to be watched again and again, so there’s something for all of us to look forward to. 👍
