It is time for the last Film Salon of the spring, featuring the screening of the Chinese film LIFE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE, a character-focused close-up of China’s development from an agricultural nation to an industrial superpower.
The film won the Silver Bear for Best Director in Berlin 2025!
We have invited Erling Agøy, originally from Bø, to the salon. He is a researcher and teacher with China as his field of expertise. He has worked based in Oslo, Erlangen (Germany), and Cambridge and is currently a project manager. Erling’s research interests are based on ideas about weather and climate in early modern China.
