Bø
Are you wondering how you can create the best possible conditions for insects, birds, lizards and other things in your garden, or how we can contribute to this in municipal common areas, such as in Bø common garden? Or maybe you are particularly interested in how to create a water pond full of life in the garden? Then this is the garden walk for you!
The garden we are going to visit is something completely out of the ordinary: It is a garden at the intersection of a natural garden and a permaculture garden, where vegetable cultivation is combined with facilitating biodiversity. It is created by Ron Bruinvis and Zorica Maric.
The concept comes from Germany, and the network includes more than 800 gardens in Europe and the United States. In 2019, the movement received recognition from the United Nations in the "Decade for Biodiversity" as a commendable initiative to stimulate awareness of diversity in private gardens.
The garden on the road towards Gygrestolen is not finished. Much remains to be done. Among other things, work is being done to create a large water garden.
NB! Due to limited parking options, we encourage as many people as possible to show up for carpooling from the Volunteer Center in Bø at 17:45. The garden team serves tea and something to eat after the garden walk. Everyone is welcome, and it costs nothing to participate!
