Bø community garden will be established in Evjudalen in the center of Bø, where we will have the opportunity to build up a common utility garden step by step. We will start by establishing a vegetable garden, herb bed and perennial bed during the spring 2024, and there will be an orientation and start-up meeting on Saturday 10 February at 14:00 in Oppåstugo in Gullbring.
This spring we will be carving planters, cultivating, sowing on open land, planting out and harvesting together.
In the coming seasons, and in line with what we have time and desire for, Bø community garden can be expanded with berry bushes, fruit trees, meadow, sensory garden and more. The road is made as we go!
Participation, equipment and volunteer meals are free, and everyone is welcome to participate in the cultivation community: parents with school-age children, youth, young adults, older adults, retirees, natives, immigrants, students, refugees and migrant workers!
