Thursday 8 February there will be lectures on tomato cultivation by Corine Dahl and Lars Sølversen. The event is open and free for everyone!
Corine Dahl and Lars Sølversen will show pictures and tell about the entire process from ordering seeds and sowing, to tingling, planting and caring for the tomato plants. We also learn how to take seeds from our own plants, and we get tips on what we can use the tomatoes for after harvest.
In addition to practical advice and tips, we hear about how the tomato came to Norway, and we are introduced to many different types of tomatoes: Tomatoes are not only round and red, but can also be yellow, white, brown, black, long, pear-shaped and furry.
Admission is free, and there will be raffle sales and cakes and tea/coffee served. Feel free to bring a prize to the raffle sale! Welcome to the first garden team meeting of the year!
