Conversation between author Erland Kiøsterud and theologian Ellen Hageman.
Entrance NOK 100,-
Welcome!
Last year, author Erland Kiøsterud published two sister books, the autobiographical novel Four Norwegian Songs and the essay The Ecology of Silence. Theologian and climate activist Ellen Hageman has read both books. She has invited the living Norwegian author who means the most to her to Bø to talk about the eco-crisis, nature, beauty and language. And maybe a little about Drammen as well, since that's where they both come from.
"The ecology of beauty can be read as a manifesto, and it can be read as an investigation," writes Erland Kiøsterud in the afterword. "It is with gratitude that I have had the opportunity to begin the great work ahead of us; to redefine beauty, which in its consequence is also to redefine justice by understanding ourselves as nature."
"This is nothing else than an a small masterpiece." Knut Stene-Johansen on Four Norwegian songs in Klassekampen.
