We at Bø film club are very much looking forward to showing you 1917.
In the epic war drama of 1917, Sam Mendes, the Oscar-winning director of Skyfall, Spectre, and American Beauty takes us back to the relentless battlefields of World War I.
As the war rages on at its most intense, two young British soldiers, Schofield (George MacKay) and Blake (Dean-Charles Chapman), are sent on a seemingly impossible mission; Crossing enemy territory to give isolated company a message that, if it does not arrive, will send them all—including Blake's own brother—into certain death.
The film has won numerous awards, including Oscars for Best Photography and vfx.
