Let's represent Audun Rørmark from our beloved Bø!!
Audun is a solo project that originates from the jazz line in Trondheim with vocal-based music within the pop genre, clearly inspired by jazz and Norwegian (Nordic) folk music.
The music is a mishmash of his own somewhat chaotic musical background, where the goal is to use all his musical experiences to create something new and exciting that can reach out widely and to many.
The instruments are a mixture of typical band instruments combined with more untraditional instruments such as hardanger fiddle, pedal steel, violin and other things that you rarely find in rhythmic music.
In the end, you are left with harmony, rhythm and improvisation from the jazz tradition, melodic elements from folk music, gathered together into something that is catchy and unique.
