With the combination of catchy melodies, strong and good lyrics, extremely talented musicians and not least a tremendous drive and energy on stage, the band from Valdres has grown to become one of the absolute leaders in their genre.
Staut has both gold records and first place on the album list to refer to, as well as a several-year tour list and a number of concerts that few other bands in Norway can match. There have been big and high-profile TV appearances, a solid number of radio listings, and not least: quality all the way.
The latest album has been titled "Makalaus", which is far from coincidental. "Makalaus is a mountain peak located on the border between Nord-Aurdal and Sør-Aurdal in the southern part of Valdres. The trip up there is neither long nor demanding but when you are up you are met by a panoramic view that is incomparable in all directions - on his way.
It is this view we in STAUT will show the people when we now release our sixth album. We hope to take the people on a musical summit trip that is not too long and demanding but which still provides a vast panoramic view into our landscape of words and tones.
