Welcome to our spring workshop🌸 for all levels . We will move and flow with 5 elements of Nature 🌊🌳🔥💨🪐and dive into the stories our body wants to tell with fun, curiosity, compassion and respect.

WHAT IS IT ?
👉🏻 ELEMENTAL DANCE is a somatic movement approach created and guided by Kim TRAN. Somatic means anything related to the experience of living in your body. Internal sensations include how your breath speeds up or your stomach clenches when you remember something difficult or how you smile or feel a sense of tingle or relief when you remember a pleasant memory or loved one.
Tension and trauma get stored in our bodies and often do not fully release until we engage our bodies. Yoga, mindfulness, meditation, dance – all of these, when approached intentionally, allow us to reconnect with our bodies, tune into our internal experiences, and learn to regulate our tensions and stress without avoidance. When we can start approaching our bodies with curiosity rather than with fear, everything shifts.
Through ELEMENTAL DANCE you will learn how to get in touch with your internal self and cultivate coping skills to intervene when intense emotions, stressors, or trauma surface. The concept helps you creatively engage with emotional, physical and cognitive processes through dance and movement. It allows you to safely explore and express what you may not be able to fully put into words. It guides you in creating a felt sense of safety within your own body – befriending your body with self-compassion rather than distancing from it with self-criticism. Your body can be your greatest teacher when you take the time and space to learn.
For a long time, psychologists and doctors thought just talking through our emotions and past experiences could help us heal and move forward. Sometimes this works, but often it doesn’t. The body keeps score.
ELEMENTAL DANCE is a journey, a discovery and an invitation to move, explore, connect, express, heal and let go in free motion, within a safe and educated environment.
The class is open to any level. There is no right or wrong. Wether you seek a spiritual path, or simply enjoy dancing, on your own or with your tribe, you will find here emotion in motion.
Together we unfold a specific playlist with live spoken instructions spread along the class, but you can also simply let the music instinctively guide the body. Each of the 5 elements hold a key to a unique experience you remain the master of, in this order:
1. WATER : the waking dance
2. EARTH : the child dance
3. FIRE : the shadow dance
4. AIR : the light dance
5. SPACE : the wisdom dance
