Central maximum price
Our kindergartens apply to the central maximum price for parental payments.
The central maximum price is NOK 3,135 per month as of 1 January 2020.
The central maximum price is set by the Norwegian Parliament and applies to all kindergartens in Norway, both public and private. The kindergartens have the right to charge extra for food.
If you have more than one child in kindergarten within the same municipality, the municipality shall ensure that you get a reduced price in the parental payments. The reduced price applies even if the children are in separate kindergartens, or in kindergartens with different owners.
The reduction in price for the second child is 30% of the parental payment, and 50% for the third child and further.
One household shall not pay more than 6% of their income to the kindergarten. This applies both to private and public kindergartens. The responsibility lies with the municipality.
